Considering Dental Implants? We're Here to Help

An implant specialist focuses on placing implants, while a general dentist provides routine care. Oral surgeons, however, have the highest level of surgical training, making them the most qualified for implant procedures. For secure, long-lasting results, choosing an experienced oral surgeon offers the greatest peace of mind.

Dental implant surgery replaces missing tooth roots with titanium posts that fuse with the jawbone, creating stable, natural-looking teeth, and while some dentists and specialists can place implants, oral surgeons are the most qualified for complex procedures.

If you’re missing one or more teeth and want a replacement that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth, dental implants may be a great fit. A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone and supports a custom crown, bridge, or denture for a secure, long-lasting result.

Your specialist will evaluate your gums, jawbone, and overall oral health to confirm you’re a good candidate. The process typically takes several months from consultation to final restoration to allow proper healing at each step.
